2. Safe Storage

Firearms must be stored safely and responsibly to prevent unauthorized access, particularly by children. We strongly recommend:

• Use a quality gun safe or lockbox for all firearms when not in use
• Store ammunition separately from firearms
• Use trigger locks or cable locks as additional security measures
• Never leave a loaded firearm unattended
• Educate all household members about firearms safety

3. Legal Compliance

Firearms laws vary significantly by federal, state, and local jurisdiction. Before purchasing, building, modifying, or transferring any firearm or firearm accessory, you are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

This includes but is not limited to:

• NFA-regulated items — suppressors, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), short-barreled shotguns (SBS), machine guns, and destructive devices require ATF registration, a $200 tax stamp, and federal background checks
• State restrictions — many states have additional restrictions on magazine capacity, firearm features, suppressor ownership, and firearm transfers
• Local ordinances — cities and counties may have restrictions beyond state law
• Interstate transfers — transferring firearms across state lines generally requires a licensed FFL dealer
